A home built by women.
At Whenuapai, a Fletcher Living development, an exciting new project is underway to build a remarkable new home. A project that will be led by women throughout the design, build, marketing, and sales phases.
Called BUILDhers – this exciting new project is a New Zealand first and will see everything, from the architectural drawings right through to the final build and sale of the home, project led by a team of more than 40+ women. A new generation keen to demonstrate their breadth of skills, their work ethic, and showcase the career pathways open to women in the construction industry. We’ve started with one house and a community of capable women who bring varied perspectives and skills to this project.
The BUILDhers project will see a 4 bedroom standalone home constructed to the same high quality workmanship and standards as every Fletcher Living home. The same modern design, the same quality fittings and features. When complete, it will be a stamp of pride, opportunity, and potential.
The BuildHers project empowers women to come together to achieve one goal.
Project Manager Jasmin Lawrence says build partners have jumped in steel cap boots and all with some contractors hiring women, especially so they could contribute to helping bring the project to life.
